Tour Info
Since the fall of 1999, we have hosted nearly
5,000 guests at Castledaly Manor, County
Westmeath, Ireland. Many of our guests enjoyed themselves so much that
they have booked a second, third and even a fourth trip back to the Manor
house.
Manor Details
Castledaly Manor is a 37-acre manor situated
in the center of Ireland, halfway between Dublin and Galway, 5 miles from
Athlone in the midlands of Ireland. Guests enjoy the 18th century manor
house that has been completely updated with private baths, fine furniture,
and a quaint pub and restaurant. Guests enjoy having Castledaly Manor
as their home base, which is centrally located for visiting the many attractions
in Ireland.
Tour Details
Our tours run Wednesday to the following Thursday, 48 weeks a year. Tour prices to Ireland include airfare, 7 nights lodging in a guest room with private bath, and a full breakfast each morning.
Day tours conducted from Castledaly Manor include the Cliffs of Moher, City of Galway, and the medieval-walled City of Kilkenny.
Prices are for TWO people including airfare, breakfasts and a guest room for two. All tours run Wednesday through the following Thursday. Rates do not include taxes.

Trip includes airfare, 7 nights lodging in guest room with private bath, and a full breakfast each morning. (Tax not included). Single room supplement is $200.

Airline Info
Harp & Eagle offers some of the lowest fares available to Ireland. Arrive at O'Hare International Airport three hours early to check in luggage, go through customs, etc. Tickets will be mailed directly to you by Castledaly Holidays.
Room Assignments
The beautiful rooms at Castledaly Manor each have a private bath, four-poster bed and writing desks. Two rooms are extra large and can be specially reserved for an additional $90. Each room is pre-assigned to the guest by the General Manager before arrival. Each room is a different size, has different views and hall orientation. Stairways must be used to access all guest rooms in the manor.
Car Rental
A variety of car rental options are available at the airport or in Athlone. Driving in Ireland is on the left side of the road and requires a valid US driver's license, passport and credit card. Please note, a shuttle bus ride to and from the Dublin airport to Castledaly is available for those not renting a car in Dublin.
Day Tours
The area around Castledaly Manor is rolling farm country, with many cross road hamlets and miles of stone fences. Our popular day tours are not structured, but rather an opportunity to integrate with the local people, enjoying their countryside, food, music, and conversation. Typical day tours include visiting City Galway, Cliffs of Moher, the medieval-walled City of Kilkenny, lunch at a restored 13th century castle, and shopping in Dublin.
Additional activities include golfing, cycling, fishing, garden walks, visiting museums, equestrian riding, shopping. An area pub crawl is a highlight for many of our guests conducted by Gerry, our innkeeper.
Deposit
A deposit is required to hold your space. The final complete cost of the trip must be received 90 days prior to departure. Checks should be made payable to Harp & Eagle and mailed to:

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges include the full amount of deposit. Ticketing normally takes place within one week after Harp & Eagle receives your deposit. Those tickets can be exchanged for another Aer Lingus flight for a fee of $90 per ticket plus any additional air cost.
Prices are for two persons, based on double occupancy. It includes round-trip airfare from Chicago to Dublin, seven nights accommodations and breakfasts.

We accept responsibility for ensuring that all elements of your tour area as described in this website and are of a reasonable standard. We will notify you of any changes prior to your travel date, unless circumstances are beyond our control. We can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to any delay or cause beyond our control. All such losses will be borne by the traveler. We disclaim any responsibility or liability whatsoever for loss, damage, injury, or expense to person or properly due to any cause whatsoever occurring during the tour or otherwise. Taxes are subject to change. All travelers must present a valid passport with names that match the spelling on the airline tickets. Travel insurance is recommended.
